Each Infantry Soldier belongs to one of the Infantry regiments of the Canadian Army, some of which bear battle honours more than a century old. As the Army’s primary war-fighters and the core of the Combat Arms team, Infantry Soldiers are responsible for closing with and destroying the enemy. Supported by the Artillery, regiments of Armour and the Combat Engineers, Infantry Soldiers are capable of operating anywhere in the world in any environment — Arctic tundra, mountains, jungle or desert — and in any combination of arms, including airmobile and amphibious operations.
Infantry Soldiers have the following primary duties:
Expertly operate and maintain a wide range of personal and section-level weapons, including rifle (with and without bayonet), hand-grenades, light, medium and heavy machine-guns; and anti-tank weapons;
Use sophisticated equipment for field communications, navigation and night-vision surveillance;
Inspect and maintain weapon systems, vehicles and equipment (including clothing, survival gear and personal defensive equipment);
Participate in airborne operations;
Operate with support elements such as fighter aircraft, tactical helicopters (troop-carrying and reconnaissance) and artillery;
Engage in unarmed combat; and
Employ fieldcraft and battle procedures including camouflage and concealment, patrol, assault, defence, and escape-and-evasion tactics.

About 20 years ago I had a Smith & Wesson folding knife that I had bought at a Army Navy store on Canal Street.
It was unlike any I had ever seen, it was all stainless with a 3 inch blade. The unique thing was that it was three pieces that folded into it self, not like a butterfly knife, but with the blade folding inside one part of the handle, and another part of the handle swinging over the top so you could carry it.
It’ got stolen from me in college, and I was wondering if there is any one else who remembers them, or knows where I can get one.
Thanks.
I would try eBay. Then write an email or a letter to Smith & Wesson. I know I have been able to try these methods with eBay and other companies for things my husband had when he was in the Navy and were stolen or misplaced…and even something from his childhood. He didn’t believe I could find it…but I did.
Just keep trying…then maybe just keep googling. Or hit the old army surplus stores. The gun shows…they have knives there too at times. Good Luck!

I mean the US army doesn’t exactly have the best record with the first people of the US, so aren’t names like Tomahawk missle, or the Apache and Blackhawk helicopters kind of rubbing salt in the wound? Any other names I’m missing?
Considering that the Indians got their butts whupped by the US Cavalry and the Indians lost the entire continent and got pushed into wasteland areas, I don’t think they should be honored for their complete lack of military prowess.
They’re losers. Name them after the cavalry, the true winners and warriors! Same with college and university mascots.
[heavy level of sarcasm here - to show just how inane the anti-Indian name folks are]
I hear the same sympathy from all cold countries when I ask them . Even Soviet people felt sorry for them they have big green jackets and they would get out into the cold and shiver to death a lot countries said this they felt sory for them poor boys and that was one way to detect a GI was to watch him shake an shiver in the cold.
YOU’RE FULL OF IT. THE AMERICAN MILITARY IS THE BEST EQUIPT MILITARY IN THE WORLD. LIKE YOU HAVE CONTACTS TO KNOW WHAT THE SOVIET PEOPLE THINK. POST A LINK AND ENLIGHTEN US ALL. TILL THEN YOU’RE FULL OF IT. THATS A LAUGH WHEN YOU ASKED THEM , I DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE INTERVIEWING SOVIETS AND KOREANS AND PEOPLE OF COLD CLIMATES ABOUT MILITARY UNIFORMS. YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE SLOPES. SKI A LITTLE.
The rear glass window of my Nissan Vanette Model 1993 broke to pieces when it hit a hard object when opened at a low roofed garage. Popular glass suppliers’ price for the said item were too high for me to afford. Any body could offer me, even the surplus one, which my budget could afford? I live in parañaque city, but i can go anywhere within metro manila where it is available. thanks.
Glass costs what glass costs. Most rear windows have heaters built in. I cannot fault you for trying to find a cheeper alternative. But I would be thankful just to find a glass black window for something 15 years old.
In one case, convicted middlemen for Iran bought Tomcat parts from the Defense Department’s surplus division. Customs agents confiscated them and returned them to the Pentagon, which sold them again — customs evidence tags still attached — to another buyer, a suspected broker for Iran.
That incident appalled even an expert on weaknesses in Pentagon surplus security controls.

Where has the Congress been for five years?
If you read the article the planes were purchased in 70’s in 2005 they needed replacement parts.
Now which political party had sole authority in 2005 of all three branches of governments?
I know it wasn’t the Republicans they are trying to protect us, or are they?
what is the difference between those two because both had a different outcome and tactics aspects? A lot of info would help guys. Thanks!!!!
We pretty much use what the Army throw away.
Ocelot returns with his new gun. Unfortunately for him, he’s not very familiar with his new weapon.
