I have a friend that is not and american citizen. He has visa which expires in one year. If he/she joins the are army or the navy is it possible to extend his visa or get an green card or american citizen ship. If yes what is the period he/she has to stay in the army? Because he/she really wants that, and just want to check is it an opportunity to stay in the country. Thank you.

yes,the US military can grant him citizenship & he have to finish the time that’s in the contract that he signed.

    In order to enlist in the US Armed Forces a person MUST be either;
    1. A US Citizen
    or
    2. A Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)

    Your friend is not eligible.
